Welcome to Challenge On The Big Bridge!
The goal of the Challenge is to create a fanwork for a Japanese Role-Playing Game or JRPG franchise*.
The schedule:
- Sign ups: End May 31st (07:59 ADT)
- Creating period: Starts June 1st
- First check in: June 15th
- Second check in: June 30th
- Third check in: July 15th
- Works due: July 31st (19:59 ADT)
- Works revealed: Aug 1st (07:59 ADT)
The guidelines:
- For fanfic: 5000 words minimum
- For fanart: Art, either 5 completed pieces of art on unlined paper or 10 sketches on unlined paper or equivalent
- For other fanworks: Whatever you feel is comparable to the above
- Multiple sign ups are okay, sign ups are mostly for gauging interest
- Multiple submissions are okay
- Co-authors, collaborations and stuff are also okay
- Subject changes, media changes, all of that's also okay!
- No penalty for withdrawing, you can say why or not at your discretion
- There will be check-in posts but they're optional, mostly for sharing bits, cheering on, commiserating and such
The AO3 collection will be posted around the first check-in.

*This year, I'm opening up the Challenge to any RPG from Asia.
Nota bene: I'm hoping everyone gets to have a good time with this fest. That means everyone taking part needs to let everyone else have a good time on their own time. No tearing down other people's faves, guys, whether that's a game or a character or a ship or a fannish genre, okay? We're here to have fun, and that means everyone.
